We are currently coordinating the 20th production of Live From Collin County formerly know as Live From Plano. Live From Collin County is a 501 c(3) organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds for Collin County agencies that provide social and mental health related services to their clients. After paying expenses, the Live From Collin County Board of Directors was able to award an average of $12,000 to each of the agencies selected last year.
This year’s show will be performed on Friday, April 11, 2008 and Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in downtown McKinney. The honored agencies sharing in this year’s proceeds are The Assistance Center, an agency providing a service that informs, guides, directs, and links people to appropriate human service resources; Crossroads Family Services, an agencydedicated to strengthening the Collin County Community by providing quality services for education, intervention, counseling and victim’s assistance; My Possibilities, an agency that will provide full day, year round services for adults with disabilities in Collin County and surrounding area; Child and Family Guidance Center, a non-profit corporation serving families impacted by mental illness, child abuse and neglect, high-risk behaviors, and substance abuse.
We ask that you consider donating auction item/items for the event. There is a Live and Silent Auction both nights of the performance. The donation provides you the opportunity to support several non-profit agencies at one time. Your contribution goes far beyond this performance to touch the lives of those served by the agencies we support through this fundraiser.
